How 2024 altered my life, and how 2025 will too.
Launching the first creator led label, creating AM.RADIO, and whats coming in 2025
Ended the year strong with 34 songs signed to the label, over 7,500 RSVP’s to AM.RADIO, 40 million views across my socials, and 10k YouTube subscribers. I scaled the music club from 0 to 12.8k members on Instagram since October 31st, and am planning on some cool integrations to keep moving everything along for the music club in 2025. Here’s what you should know:
Changing what it means to build a “Label”
Working as an A&R for an independent label taught me so many lessons and gave me insight that I used to reimagine how a label can service artists, and with the growing number of artists working with independent labels, I’m working to create a new category of “Record Label”. One that is community focussed (Music Club), Content focussed (putyouon pages + AM.RADIO), playlist assisted (we just crossed 580k playlist followers) and using modern partners to help distribute and market the records (Co:brand- cutting edge marketing company who is now my distribution partner).
From 2012 - 2020, Major labels scooped up YouTube Channels, Blogs, Media Companies, and had their hand in all the top Spotify and Apple editorial playlists. So what does it look like if I’m building all those tools in house, with a face to the brand that has been missing from every other record label… ever? I think it’s what is not only needed in the music industry, but was is now possible. With the current state of the internet and social media, companies and businesses are becoming more and more dominated by creators. So- I’m working to create that for the music industry. The stigma of Record labels remain- so how to change that and put the artists and fans first is the main objective in changing how labels are being built. In 2025 we’re going to continue that focus.
AM.RADIO: We’re changing both the music scene and the coffee industry
AM.RADIO started as an idea to get cool YouTube videos made with artists from the putyouon playlists. But it wasn’t only fun to watch online- it’s really fun to attend. The Coffee shop is seeing record numbers from us being integrated into their monthly calendar, and coffee and music has never been more tied together in LA. This idea has gone viral and now we’ve built the fastest growing and most in demand event series in Los Angeles. A lot of people are trying to copy the idea, but our upper hand lies in the content we produce, the music club we’ve scaled, and the quality of artists that we’ve only been able to book due to years of building connections and providing value to artists and their teams.
We crossed 10k YouTube Subscribers, 640,000 views, and worked with over 12 brands as sponsors to the events. We’re now not only providing a fun experience for music fans in LA, but we’re now a marketing vehicle for artists who in 2024 (and especially in 2025) need content. We’re now being reached out to by artists and teams that we never thought possible. The value of playing at AM.RADIO is becoming something that no artists wants to miss out on. Goal for 2025? Bring on a “title sponsor” that can help us scale to other cities and keep improving the home base events in Venice. Know a brand that would be perfect for this? Send a message to events@putyouonmusicgroup.com we’d love to connect.
What I’m excited about for 2025
The biggest problem I’m facing with AM.RADIO is overcrowding. So I’ve been brainstorming with Dan from the team on how to start to honor RSVP’s, give the music club value and benefit, and create new ways to operate. The potential solution?
The putyouon Club Card.
Some fun ideas I’m thinking about:
Grants you access to all of our events including AM.RADIO. Otherwise you’re playing the lottery to RSVP in the first hour of the event drop.
Gives members opportunity for festival and concert airdrops. In 2024, I sent some members to events like HARD SUMMER, Fred again Colosseum floor tickets, an Odd Mobb Pop up, ANOTR, and BUNT.
Membership points for coming to AM.RADIO. “Came to all four? Here’s a merch coupon for our website so you can get a hoodie for $20”
Geo Fencing coffee shop partners around LA so when you walk past the location you can get a push notification for a discounted coffee, just for being a member
AM.RADIO Spinoffs
Some fun ideas for AM.R includes “PM.RADIO”, “DRIVE THRU” (above) and expansion of AM.R to multiple cities.
PM.RADIO: Night time cafe sets, small capacity, closed door, and some bevies.
DRIVE THRU: To-Go Coffee sets in los Angeles. Have an artist play in the front seat of my car with the top down driving around a part of LA. Full sets uploaded to YouTube and cut downs posted to the AM.RADIO page, putyouon, and my personal page as well. Think these can crush. I already posted a preview here
Multiple Cities: Goals for 2025 are shows in Vail, Denver, San Diego, Austin, Chicago, New York, and Miami. We’re in talks with some partners for having a presence at Coachella, SXSW, and Miami Music Week as well. Lot of moving parts but a lot to be excited about!
Thank you for the support in 2024. Cannot wait to see what happens in 2025 I think this is going to be the year that changes it all

It’s incredible to see how you’ve managed to build something so dynamic from the ground up, blending music and community in such an authentic way. Excited to see what 2025 brings for you Steve.
